W.I.L.D. Expeditions

 W.I.L.D. Expeditions, a non-profit 501(C)3 organization, was founded in 1997 by Geoff Briggs. Our programs are based on our 40 years of experience leading thousands of youth on backcountry expeditions in Northern Ontario and the Pacific Northwest.  

At W.I.L.D.--Wilderness Intensive Leadership Development—we know that when youth have a transformative wilderness experience, they will naturally become stewards of themselves, their environment, and their communities.   We engage youth in experiential adventure education that empowers their lives by:

• Providing conscious and intentional "rites of passage" within a safe and supportive community wilderness experience.
• Encouraging confidence, self-reliance and responsibility.
• Using everyday experiences, especially challenging ones, as opportunities to learn.
• Creating the conditions where personal growth and leadership can flourish.

We are very excited about building a Viking ship to provide unique, life-changing wilderness experiences for youth!
